*Classes WILL be held during teacher in-service and parent/teacher conference days.

*During inclement weather, the studio will follow the Fayetteville Public School closings - make-up classes will not be given in this case.

*Tuition will be the same every month even if classes are missed.  Remember that some months have 5 weeks instead of 4.

  • Tuition

Tuition is due on the first of each month.  Those accounts unpaid as of the 10th of the month will be charged automatically along with an additional $5.00 late fee.  Tuition is full price September through May.

  • Attendance

Regular attendance is required.  Students must arrive to class on time.  Students should attend each class for maximum benefit and progress as they can easily fall behind by missing.  If a student must miss a class, he or she may make up the absence in a similar class.  Please discuss this with the student’s teacher or the director.

Classes at which 4 students or less are in attendance will be treated as a semi-private lesson; they will run for 45 min.

  • Dress Code

Twinkle Tots and Stars: dance attire including a leotard (any color), pink tights and pink ballet shoes w/o ties—skirts are allowed. *Twinkle Stars will need black tap shoes w/o ties.

Kindercombo: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes w/o ties, black tap shoes w/o ties.

Jazz 1-4: leotard or form-fitting top, tight shorts, capris or pants (so teachers can observe placement, knees, etc), Foot Undeez, jazz shoes or bare feet are acceptable for class.  Recital dance may require either tan or black jazz boots w/o laces.

    Modern: form-fitting top and bottom

Hip Hop: form-fitting top, tennis shoes.  Sweat pants and jackets are allowed.

Tap: form-fitting top, tight shorts capris or pants, black tap shoes without ties.

*All students’ hair must be pulled away from their face and off their neck.  No jewelry.  I understand that students who habitually show disregard for the dress code may be asked to leave the class.

Visit our online store to purchase items that fit the dress code for your class.

  • Studio Rules

*No gum, candy, or drinks allowed in class.

    *No talking.

*No disrespect will be tolerated toward the teacher or other students.  In this case, dismissal from class will result.  No refund will be given to students who are dismissed from class for disciplinary reasons.

*Adherence to the dress code will be expected.  Students who are not dressed properly will not be allowed to take class.

*Parents are not allowed in the classroom unless it is designated in-class observation day.

*All parents and students are asked to leave the studio as they found it to cut down on clean-up for the staff at the end of the evening.

*UNATTENDED STUDENTS: Though extra precautions are being taken with the security and well-being of your child, please encourage your child to remain in the lobby while awaiting your arrival.  Students ages 3-6 years will be asked to remain in the classroom until the parents pick them up.  Parents, if you know that you will be late to pick your child up, please notify your child’s instructor or call the studio.

  • Recitals

Participation in the recital will not be required in order to take monthly classes, but confirmation will be expected in January with the purchase of costumes.  A recital fee of $25.00 per student and $35.00 per family with multiple students enrolled will be due in April.  With your recital fee, you will receive 2 free tickets.

  • In-Class Observation

No parents are allowed in the classrooms during class.  However, one-way mirrors will be used at the studio in order to keep parents involved in the child’s education.

  • Costumes

Costume deposits of $25 per costume will be due with tuition in November.  The remaining balance will be due with tuition in January.  Costumes typically cost between $45 and $60.

  • Publicity Waiver

Unless informed otherwise, The Art of Motion will consider photographs taken of The Art of Motion students to be permissible for publication in The Art of Motion informational publications, including the web.

  • Space Rental

Space rental will be available for birthday parties and special events.  See the director for details.

Special Note:

If you are enrolled in our electronic draft program, at least a 30 day notice must be given if dropping a student.  Otherwise, the tuition payment will still come out for the next month and will not be refunded.
